Vanessa Research Holdings, Inc (VR), a Hamden, CT based biomedical company pioneering innovative products in areas of unmet medial needs, is proud to announce that its subsidiary, HGA Biomed Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Ltd. (HGA), based in Kaposvár, Hungary, was awarded a prestigious Remembrance Medal by Mr. Károly Szita, mayor of Kaposvár.
The Medal, awarded in September 2020, is in recognition and appreciation of Team VR’s dedication and effort to save, as well as protect, the community during this pandemic. By acknowledging all HGA and VR staff who devoted their work to positively impacting the lives of those in their community, the Medal serves as testimony to their time and effort.
HGA was one of the first manufacturers to address the hand sanitizer shortage caused by the coronavirus in Hungary. Thanks to the team’s resilient and persistent work, HGA was able to not only supply Hungarian pharmacies and resellers, but also donated hand sanitizer to the local community. Once the supply and demand of hand sanitizer became more balanced in Hungary, HGA then began exporting to Spain and the United States, to address those market shortages as well.
The hard work and dedication of the VR team contributed to Mayor Szita’s proclamation, and as such, they are excited to celebrate the great achievement of this Remembrance Medal with an unwavering focus on protecting their community during these unprecedented times.
